This post covers information about how to locate your lost or stolen Xperia smartphone with its map position also you can alert sound,lock it or even erase all the data by activating myXperia security service which comes built in with most of the xperia smartphones.
I recently activated it and found it very easy to use and really helpful if you lost your xperia somewhere or when it gets stolen but it data or wifi must be on in your smartphone.
To activate it you need to follow below steps in your xperia smartphone
- Go to Settings
- Then go to Xperia
- In that tap on myXperia and slide it to “ON”
- Sign in with any of your Google account
- Once you sign in, you will receive a welcome mail.
- And it’s done. Then to locate you just need to sign in at myxperia.sonymobile.com and click“Locate”, mail with location details will get arrived to your inbox.
You can also have different options such as Alert sound,lock,erase like below once you login.
