Now let's see the more 5 less known features of MIUI.

Import contacts from others phone

This is one of the best features to import contacts from another phone. Xiaomi has tried to take care of all the needs of the user and this feature is the start of it. Whenever you buy the new smartphone the first ever step is to import all the contacts from your old phone and if you have bought xiaomi smartphone then it is very simple to import contacts.

To import contacts, below are the steps.
•    Go to the Contacts
•    Then, tap on the menu button (which looks like 3 horizontal lines)
•    Then, tap on “Settings” > “Import/Export Contacts”

Once you open Import/Export Contacts page, it has several options so you can select the appropriate one and can import contact. Best one is to select “Import from another phone” and select the appropriate phone , if your old phone is not listed in it you can select “other phone” and then can import all the contacts using Bluetooth.

Show connection speed

This is one of the useful feature by which you will able to view the current connection speed of your data connection or Wi-Fi at the top near to time.

To enable it, just go to the “Settings” >> “Notifications” >> and select “Show connection speed”.

Lock specific app while cleaning the recent open apps.

This is the best feature I feel provided by MIUI, which allows you to keep certain app running and clear all other apps when you clear the apps by long pressing the menu button.

Just hold the menu button, it will show you list of recently opened and running apps with a button “Clear”. Suppose from that list you want “WhatsApp” keep running and want to clear rest apps then just drag the “WhatsApp” to the downside and release, that’s it, app has been locked, you can see the lock icon above the app at corner, now if you hit “Clear” button then all other apps than “WhatsApp” will get cleared.

Guest mode

This is the feature which I feel must be there in all smartphones. Your smartphone is your personal thing but many times you need to give it to others and most of the people are not confortable to do so as there can be some private messages or call log or notes which you do not want that other people see it. Thanks to MIUI, this feature is inbuilt within it, by enabling the “Guest Mode” all your personal messages, recent call logs and notes gets hidden.

To enable it, Go to the “Settings” >> “Security” >> “Privacy Protection” >> and then turn on the “Guest Mode”

(You can also keep the password by enabling the “Password” just below the “Guest Mode” setting.)

Schedule Messages

As I mentioned somewhere above, MIUI has taken care all of the needs of its user, this features set’s five star on it.
Do you able to remember the birthdays?? Or you remember the birthday but you always forget to wish at 12 am?? Then this feature is going to help you a lot.

Yes, you can schedule the message and message will get delivered automatically on the scheduled date and time.
Just start new message, and then tap on the “+” icon near to the message textbox and tap on the “Timed” and set the desired date and time.

Bonus Tip: If you want to send the contact through message then you can tap on “+” button in new message and tap on “Contact” and select the desired contact.

I hope you have liked this post series, if you any other features of MIUI then do share it in comment section below. Thanks.
